Basic analytics and cookies: pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type, and the page that referred you. We use this in aggregate to see which pages are useful. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Why we use it

To match and send your quote request to up to three companies you chose to contact, and to let those companies reply to you.
To publish reviews, check that they come from real customers, and remove ones that break our rules.
To process listing claims and corrections and confirm they come from the business.
To answer your messages and privacy requests.
To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and understand how the site is used.

Who we share it with

Matched companies: when you send a quote request, the companies you selected receive your request details, name, phone number, email and city or ZIP so they can reply. They use that information under their own privacy practices.
Service providers: companies that host the site, store data and deliver email on our behalf. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of users, the public or us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and the related contact details are deleted 24 months after they are sent, unless we need to keep them longer to resolve a dispute, comply with a legal obligation or enforce our terms. Reviews stay published until you ask us to remove them or we remove them under our rules. Contact and privacy requests are kept for as long as needed to handle them and to keep a record that we did.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California you have the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we have shared it with.
Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you can still ask.
Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
